This year's CIECH Sarzyna Field Days had taken place on June 14th in Orłowo near Nowy Dwór Gdański, Pomeranian voivodeship, Poland. The field workshop with participation of CIECH specialists and a representative of the Institute of Plant Protection with the National Research Institute in Poznań, Poland, confirmed the top quality and effectiveness of the plant protection products from Nowa Sarzyna. Weather has been unfavourable for farmers for a good few months now. The harvest of 2017 was uniquely long and difficult in most areas of Poland – rainfall prevented the harvest of cereals, rape or maize. The foundation of the development of the agricultural business of the CIECH Group are to be intense R&D activities, expansion of the product range and progressing foreign expansion.

On October 24th, in Nowa Sarzyna, the opening of a new playground for disabled children, took place; the playground was co-financed by CIECH Sarzyna – Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products. This is a further project in the area of corporate social activity conducted by the company as part of its celebrations of eighty years of existence.

On August 17th of this year, the Polish promotional lottery of the Chwartox brand, Poland's most popular cereal herbicide, was concluded. As part of the lottery, the brand owner prepared for Polish farmers 10,000 valuable prizes. The grand prize – a high-quality sprayer machine – was a farmer named Łukasz from the locality of Kolonia Nieszawa

The Chwastox product range received the title of finalist in the Dobry Wzór (Good Design) competition for the year 2017 in the category of utility graphics and packaging. The prize is awarded by the Polish Institute of Industrial Design, Poland's sole scientific institution and a research and development centre, dealing with design in a systemic way. CIECH Sarzyna had introduced new packaging for the Chwastox product series in the beginning of 2016. The main purpose of the implemented changes was the improvement of user comfort and maximisation of label legibility.

The range offered by CIECH Sarzyna is as of now expanded by two new seed treatment products - SARFUN® DUO 515 FS and SAROX® DUO ACTIVE.

On June 10th, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the company CIECH Sarzyna, the company, together with the city and county office of Nowa Sarzyna is organising a 11-km run around the factory in Nowa Sarzyna.

CIECH Sarzyna S. A. is celebrating 80 years of existence this year. The company, today Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products, was formed in the year 1937 as part of Poland's Central Industrial Region. Since 2006 it is part of the industrial chemical group CIECH. On occasion of the anniversary, a festive celebration is planned, as part of which, among others, cultivated green areas in Nowa Sarzyna will be revitalised, an anniversary picnic will be arranged, and Rzeszów will host an exhibition of one of Poland's most stunning artists of the 20th century – Magdalena Abakanowicz. The 80th anniversary of the company will also see the beginning of an employee volunteer scheme at CIECH Sarzyna.

3.5m litres of plant protection products were already dispensed using the new preparation lines at CIECH Sarzyna. The purchase of modern, fully automated systems translated into multifold growth of production efficiency in the area of dispensation of plant protection products and the manufacture of packaging materials. Thanks to the investment, the abilities of the company in terms of preparation and formulation of chemical products for external customers had also expanded significantly.

According to experts, the value of Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products had risen in the years 2013-2015 by over 24%.

Grzegorz Bardowski, known from the popular television show „Farmer wants a wife 2”, has become the „face” of the new advertising campaign of CIECH Sarzyna, Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products. 

In the medium term, CIECH Sarzyna is planning to base its development of the agricultural branch on research and development of the product portfolio and international expansion focused on the most profitable directions. CIECH Sarzyna will also systematically develop its marketing activities and continue to perfect its distribution and sales network.

Tarcza Łan Extra 250 EW, a new product offered by CIECH Sarzyna.

Szabla 480 EC is a uniquely effective herbicide used to control monocots and dicots in case of winter rape. It is a new entry in the range offered by CIECH Sarzyna, a product comfortable to use thanks to the low dose per hectare and its concentrated form.

SARPLON is a perfect sealant compound based on natural ingredients that limits crop losses directly before the harvest. The product covers the pods, thus limiting their physiological bursting and shattering of seeds, and used for cereals, prevents the seeds of being overgrown in ears. 'Agrosar – thorough weed removal' is the main slogan of the next offering of the marketing campaign of CIECH Sarzyna products. The activities planned within the campaign cover, among others, press advertisements, on-line banners and a promotional television ad.

CIECH Sarzyna, Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products, is initiating a further stage of the marketing campaign of its flagship product against weed, bearing the brand name Chwastox.

In the new year, CIECH Sarzyna is continuing the process of implementing positive organisational changes.
