Ambitious development plans of CIECH Sarzyna. The priority: development of the product portfolio and international expansion

In the medium term, CIECH Sarzyna is planning to base its development of the agricultural branch on research and development of the product portfolio and international expansion focused on the most profitable directions. CIECH Sarzyna will also systematically develop its marketing activities and continue to perfect its distribution and sales network.

During a special press conference in Nowa Sarzyna, Poland, representatives of the company summarised the key events from the last 12 months in the agricultural sector, and presented plans for the future. Among the key achievements were named, among others, doubling of the export value, introduction in the beginning of the year 2016 of the new product line for the home and garden sector – ZIEMOVIT – covering products for the care for recreational gardens, home gardens or balcony plants, showings of new products for farmers, significant development of the sales force and successful advertising campaigns of the flagship brands of Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products – the Chwastox and Agrosar series.

Until 2021, Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products plans to introduce into their range in the agricultural sector approx. 50 new products – mainly herbicides and fungicides. CIECH Sarzyna is also planning on expanding its portfolio with new insecticides and seed treatment products. Even today, the portfolio of the company covers over forty agricultural products serving various needs of farmers, gardeners and recreational gardeners.

CIECH Sarzyna, who in recent time had doubled the export value of its agricultural products, is planning further international expansion. In the coming time, the company is planning to focus its activities in this regard on enriching the present range by new molecules and innovative solutions responding to demands related to limitations in the use of plant protection products imposed by the European Commission.

Our range will be amended by new technologies of use of plant protection products for main crop types, focusing on problems of farmers that are most pressing economically. This strategy is a response to market prognoses and tendencies and the current tough situation in the demand for plant protection products as experienced by all European and global companies in the 2016 season – said Mariusz Grelewicz, chairman of CIECH Sarzyna.

The company is conducting registration and development processes, the crowning of which will be introduction of new products on various markets in the years 2021-2022. Only in the year 2016, CIECH Sarzyna concluded 30 registration processes on foreign markets, at the same time starting 18 new registration processes, for which the expected market entry time are the years 2019-2020. It is worth noting that in the year 2016, the company registered its products in eight markets: Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Slovenia and Iran.

Representatives of the company have also notified that in the year 2017 they plan to introduce to the Polish market two new items in the agriculture sector – Chwastox Complex 260 EW, a selectively acting product used to control dicots in the farming of cereals and in grassy areas (lawns, sports fields, golf courses) and Labrador Extra 50 EC – a product to control monocots in the farming of rape, potato and the sugar beet.

Poland's largest manufacturer of plant protection products has also presented their plans concerning the development of the ZIEMOVIT brand. In the coming period, CIECH Sarzyna is planning on the implementation of ten new products (e. g. a fungicide, a sowing and planting or a lawn regeneration product), recruiting new sales partners and further marketing activities – including cooperation with the famed Polish show 'Maja w Ogrodzie' (Maja in the garden), the production of advisory films with Poland's most famous garden blogger – Tomek the Gardener, and an expansion of the 'Virtual Garden' application, which enjoys immense popularity.

The potential of the brand, implemented marketing support and high quality permit us to say that in the medium period, ZIEMOVIT will be the leader in its category – says Mariusz Grelewicz, Chairman of the Board of CIECH Sarzyna.
